Here are some of the highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theaustralian.com.au\/media\/birds-eye-view-of-how-we-go-tweet-tweet-tweet\/story-e6frg996-1226363944505\">The Australian<\/a><\/em> ran a big page three article about our research, and reprinted the annotated map itself;<\/li>\n<li>the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/afr.com\/p\/national\/australian_twittersphere_mapped_EP7FziOjyDpCWWCGdPnWzM\">Australian Financial Review<\/a><\/em> also printed the map on page three;<\/li>\n<li>Stilgherrian gave us a great write-up in <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crikey.com.au\/2012\/05\/23\/twitter-mapping-and-how-we-choose-our-own-adventure\/\">Crikey<\/a><\/em>;<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.com.au\/technology\/twitterverse-map-shows-what-australians-are-tweeting-about\/story-e6frfro0-1226364276330\">news.com.au<\/a><\/em> Websites and newspapers also ran a syndicated story about the map;<\/li>\n<li>industry sites <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bandt.com.au\/news\/marketing\/twitter-map-to-aid-adland\">B&amp;T<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.startupsmart.com.au\/social-media\/twittersphere-map-offers-start-ups-glimpse-of-consumer-insight\/201205236381.html\">Startupsmart<\/a><\/em> pointed out the commercial uses of this enhanced understanding of the Australian Twittersphere;<\/li>\n<li>and even science site <em><a href=\"http:\/\/phys.org\/news\/2012-05-australia-twittersphere.html\">Phys.org<\/a><\/em> covered our work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019ve also done about a dozen radio interviews about this research (which isn\u2019t easy, considering how visual this work is); will post up some links to recordings if they become available.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The emerging maps of the Australian Twittersphere which I presented at the Digital Humanities Australasia conference in Canberra in March have received quite a bit of press coverage over the past week or so, following our press release about this work.
