{"id":1171,"date":"2012-04-01T23:08:21","date_gmt":"2012-04-01T13:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mappingonlinepublics.net\/?p=1157"},"modified":"2012-05-23T07:46:20","modified_gmt":"2012-05-22T21:46:20","slug":"many-maps-of-the-australian-twittersphere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mappingonlinepublics.net\/dev\/2012\/04\/01\/many-maps-of-the-australian-twittersphere\/","title":{"rendered":"Many Maps of the Australian Twittersphere"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I spent most of last week at the <a href=\"http:\/\/aa-dh.org\/conference\/\">Digital Humanities Australasia<\/a> conference in Canberra (<a href=\"http:\/\/snurb.info\/taxonomy\/term\/137\">see my liveblog coverage<\/a>), where I presented the latest iteration of our map of the Australian <em>Twitter<\/em> follower\/followee network. This is now based on a total dataset of some 950,000 users, from which we\u2019ve selected the most connected 120,000 for visualisation.<\/p>\n<p>A number of very interesting patterns are emerging from this.
